Fall Festivities

Pumpkins, leaves changing colors, sweaters, leather jackets…can only mean one thing: FALL IS HERE! So what better way to celebrate then do all of the most basic of basic bitch activities with my girl gang: Lauren and Christy. This weekend we went out to home, with overpacked bags and of course bottles (yes plural) of red wine. Because what is fall without some Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon? #notfall After getting off the train we headed to the house, with a warm welcome from my parent’s dog (until I steal her one day lol) Bella!!
The next day, we unfortunately had a little bit of a late start. My cat Lefty that I’ve had since I was 4 years old wasn’t doing well, and had passed away that afternoon. To get my mind off of it, we decided to go out to Montauk to the lighthouse. It was on the list the last time they came and we didn’t get to it. It ended up being a beautiful day as the sky cleared up. I needed the fresh air, and we had a great view of the water.
We also went to Seven Ponds Orchard in Water Mill. One bag and three girls later, I can say that we will not be needing to add apples to our grocery list in the near future. Plus we had to get a picture of us being…well, us lol with me in the cart with apples. After that we went to Hank’s Pumpkin Town where we went pumpkin picking, and we got some sweets to satisfy our sweet tooth craving. And of course we had to pickup the apple crumb pie to go, which safe to say we devoured what was left after sharing with the fam on the train ride back into the city.
So even though the morning was sad with my cat Lefty passing away, I was so grateful that I have friends like these gems to make my day better and still make it the best fall-tastic weekend!! What is everyone’s favorite fall festivity!?
